To renovate and add onto a a 40,000 sf K-6 elementary school and an 80,000 sf middle school/high school for the Calais School Department. The original design approach was to construct a new Middle School for grades 5 through 8. After reviewing program requirements and population demographics, it was determined that a new middle school would be too small to provide an adequate learning environment
