To design an addition for the Social Security Administration, that allows the agency to consolidate its operations onto one floor and to alleviate the constraints of its expanding staff. Project goals were to:
- respect the original architect's design intent, allowing the building to be a unique object;
- design an addition that would be stylistically compatible with nearby buildings;
- provide additional office space, a new entrance and security screening area.
