Falmouth Elementary School
Falmouth, Maine

They appear on green roofs, are depicted in guardrail infill panels, and are echoed in floor and wall patterns. They speak to the sustainability measures incorporated within Maine's largest elementary school (890 students), expected to achieve LEED Gold.

Low Impact Development strategies include bioretention basins, grassed soil filters, porous asphalt pavement, vegetated roofs, and rainwater harvesting for flush fixtures.
